Kristin Miller

eunoia is very happy to share Kristin Miller, a well known fibre artist, is now showcasing her diverse work at our gallery.  Kristin’s current works will be a collection of earrings, hats and vintage buttons. A quilt artist in the creation of non-traditional art quilts for decades, Kristin is finding making jewellery from discarded cans is a departure from her usual work, and oddly satisfying. She captures valuable material from the waste stream, taking what she needs for the earrings, and sending the remaining scraps of aluminum back to be recycled. Along with repurposing fabric scraps from her many art quilts into casual, elegant hats, she is also a self-claimed pack-rat who somehow ended up with all these buttons and hopes they will become a resource for other creative textile artists and designers.

Kristin’s philosophy and creative vision in working with fibre and found materials is a wonderful addition to eunoia’s collection.
