Wendy Drummond

The underlying vision in Wendy’s work is to bring ‘fibre, heart and story’ into every piece; to increase awareness and appreciation of natural fibres. Also to promote the local fibre community, which she has been doing through Fibre Space, where she commits her time to help connect mentors with those looking for design, skill, and technique fibre-related interests. She loves working with legacy cloth, cotton, linen, wool… and her absolute favourite is the exploration of regenerative textiles through the repurposing of Harris Tweed. Through embellishment of cloth – with stitch, patching, felting, boro and beading – she creates new to you wearable art!

When she is not at Fibre Space she has her Three Stone Soup Fibre Studio in Lund and is a one of three partners at eunoia fibre studio & gallery in the newly renovated Townsite Market, in Powell River BC.
