Jodene (Kilner) Smyth

eunoia is excited to welcome Jodene (Kilner) Smyth and her intricate beadwork… Finding a passion for beading as a child, “I have never stopped, collecting, stringing, looming, and creating beadworks.”

“Coastal Cowgirl, southwestern wearable art at heart. Wispy western wear with fringe and flare, wearable anywhere!”

Her designs are born from her experiences and inspirations from nature, travel, cowgirl culture, and relationship with her passion to create. The process is very personal to her… intentional, purposeful, detailed, and rewarding and can include vintage turquoise, repurposed soft leather and suede, semi-precious stone beads from near and far, copper, silver, glass beads, bone beads, local antler buttons, vintage buttons, and various other treasures. These are one-of-a-kind focal pieces that have been collected over time from far off travels to local rockhounds.

Born, raised, and residing on Vancouver Island, Jodene continues to create amazing pieces of wearable art, reflecting her love for my horses, inspiration from nature, and gratitude for experiences and imprints that travel offer. She has a background in painting and an incredible eye for color and color combinations. Being an artist for decades brings confidence to her beadwork, draws the eye, and exudes spirit. Hence a wonderful following of beautiful supporters, always encouraging growth and progression. She finds the personal exchange with customers and the pieces they choose is a very exciting and an enriching shared experience.
